So, I buy extra virgin Olive oil and pasta from Italy. I love the Filone and Ciabatta breads. They are not from Italy but they are Italian.

This Global trading stuff is a bunch of nonsense I agree. I would not worry too much though Roz, The EU is onto Monsanto’s game. Whereas here in America, well, we are playing a whole different kind of game.

I am going to give you a couple of links to check out.
The first one is from a group headed up by Organic Consumer Association called Millions against Monsanto. They are keeping a very close eye on everything Monsanto and Bayer are doing.

I’m glad you wrote about this,
I’m italian who is UNABLE TO FIND NON GMO (OGM so called in europe) and I have no choice to find products NON OGM, even when they SAY ORGANIC..I’m scared because most of the people don’t know the REAL difference…is not just the pesticide it is only because the GMO products. As you said I don’t want to be a RATLAB and I’m so picky looking for products.
So far I buy stuff that comes from europe..kind expensive..but I found good importers for PASTA and TOMATO :) . Let me tell you something funny… we don’t use GMO in Italy but somehow the best pasta producer GRAGNANO + CAPUTO for flowers started importing and using GRAIN from america… THIS REALLY MAKES NO SENSE to me… how laws are truned around.
What can we do against Monsanto and all the besterds out there looking only for money!
just thinking about this food do not reach even africa when is too much… what waste and what a stupidity.
