Front of Mailer
I was in the post office and happened across this mailer. I thought it worth sharing. Here is what it says. “MAIL IT BACK IT’S FREE recycle your used small electronics. This USPS envelope is approved for transport of cell phones, PDA’s, smart phones, MP3 players, digital cameras or up to four inkjet cartridges.”
This makes it pretty easy to recycle those things you can never find an envelope or address for. I got 4 envelopes to keep on hand. I have 2 old cell phones floating around I didn’t know what to do with until now. I picked this up at the post office. If you have mail delivered I think if you ask your Postman to leave some recycle envelopes in your mailbox they would be glad to do it. Then just put the items in the bag and put the bag in your mailbox for pickup. No postage necessary and you don’t have to worry about addressing it. The Post Office takes care of all that. I thought that was a worthwhile service to pass on. Here’s the back.

Well, if that doesn’t just warm the cockles of my heart nothing will. Thank you ever so much my little ‘peeps’. It really does my heart good to know I was able to be of some use. You are going to do an amazing job and it will be an adventure you will not regret. Have a lot of fun with it.
Keep your eyes peeled for those little gems masquarading as weeds, they can pack a real nutritious punch and are not all persnickety about their conditions. Good to have around when everything else goes to heck. You know I am talking about that little gem of a dandelion.
I will try to keep you informed and entertained. Keep in touch and let me know how it is going. Thank you again. ♥♥

Wow, thanks actually for the info and the links. Very cool indeed. And it’s for a great cause. I’ll look in to the local women’s shelter and see what’s up.

alternately, womens shelters can use them. i think. i haven’t checked for facts lately, but i’m pretty sure they accept old cell phone donations.
