Now that I have your attention

This is what we are really talking about.

California Secretary of State’s office announced today, June 13, 2012, that the Right to Know initiative to label genetically engineered foods will be on the state’s November ballot. The historic initiative would be the first law in the United States requiring labeling of a wide range of genetically engineered foods.

“All eyes are on California, and the voters of this state will support our right to know what’s in our food when they vote this November,” said Stacy Malkan from the Right to Know campaign”

Now, here is the rest of the story

California Voters to Decide to Label GMO’s.

First in the country Label GMOs Initiative.

If you would like to volunteer or do something go here. Contact Label GMOs I am volunteering to plaster, plant, lawn signs all over SLO. They provide the signs I just have to stick them in the ground. Jeffery Smith, Seeds of Deception, is making the rounds and looking for venues in any town anywhere in California. Also our fearless leader, Pamm Larry is making herself available to talk to any groups or organizations about getting the vote out in November. If you have a venue Jeff and Pamm will be there. Check it out here:  Contact Label GMOs.

And remember folks, this is not about the pros or cons of GMOs. So when you hear Monsanto talking about how great GMOs are you don’t have to listen or even respond.  Or you could say that’s all well and good but this is not about GMOs this is about my right to know what I am eating. Label it. This is all about OUR RIGHT TO KNOW WHAT IS IN YOUR FOOD.

And labeling GMOs will not cost the taxpayers or the manufacturers one extra red cent.  BEWARE OF SCARE TACTICS and know the truth.  The interesting thing here is twofold. First, major companies like Kellogg, Coke, Pepsi, Kraft, Heinz, Nestle, Best Foods, Pillsbury, Burger King, MacDonalds, Anheuser-Busch Budweiser, Bud Light, Bud Ice (and) Michelob, Campbells, Seagram Spirits, Mars, Cadbury Schweppes, and “Others Add to a Growing List of Companies Going GE-Free in Europe. Why? Because of labeling. If they want to sell in the EU they have to label GMOs. So, we know for a fact that these companies are already labeling GMOs and doing it here is the States is no big deal and the cost of doing business.

And what is even more significant is that it was the manufacturers who immediately went out and lined up non-gmo products to sell so they could label it non-gmo and sell to the EU and 40 other countries with labeling laws. They got rid of GMOs products because no body would buy it. Monsanto is out of business now not the manufactures.

The only one dead set against labeling GMOs is Monsanto. Because Monsanto is the sole supplier of patented GMOs and knows for a fact that given a choice we will choose non-gmo products.  The EU proved that fact. So this is all about denying us our rights. So far it has worked and the EPA and FDA Congress have assisted and cooperated with Monsanto and given them carte blanche over our rights.  This labeling law is the game changer.  We got them all by the balls and dead to Rights on this one.

Manufacturers are already cancelling their contracts with the major GMO provider and lining up non-gmo products.  NO COST TO TAXPAYERS OR CONSUMERS. If you hear industry spokesman say it will cost an extra $500 or $1,000 a year if the labeling law goes into effect you can bloody well laugh in their face and call them a liar because that is a bald faced lie. It never happen anywhere where labeling is the law.

And if you really want to play your Ace in the hole contact SafewayRalphs, Trader Joes, Whole Foods, Von’s,  Spencer’s and let them know you want GMOs labeled. You have to contact them and let them know how you feel because apparently the grocers association  is siding with Monsanto and opposing the labeling thing.

Let the grocery stores know that’s dumb because you want products labeled.  Customers are the one and only thing grocery stores are concerned with. They don’t give two hoots or a holler about what Monsanto wants because Monsanto doesn’t buy anything. Monsanto sells.  So who do you think the grocery stores are more interested in keeping happy and satisfied?  You or Monsanto?  What is Monsanto going to say to the grocery stores? “If they don’t oppose this labeling law I won’t sell you anymore GMO products?”  Contact the stores. Let them know. Label it or else.  It’s just that simple folks.  And then Vote.

and Everybody that counts wins big time!!!!!
